I'm writing from a hotel room in Bangalore...my second Indian city, completely lovely in its own way. We're staying just outside of the main part of town.
I walked through the streets yesterday...posted a bunch of new photos in my
India photo album and will be posting more as soon as I have a moment!
The highlight of my mid-afternoon walk was a major monkey sighting.

There are SO MANY MORE PHOTOS in my photo album on this website, so I really hope you check them out.
I also filmed a video of the monkeys, and will upload it soon. Saw a family of five, complete with two babies, one of which was clinging to the mother's belly as she walked across the busy street.

Elisa's new album right now. It's AWESOME!!! I love it. She is amazing. I really think that her new album could do well in the US, if she is given enough attention, which she certainly deserves. What's up with the US?? There is so much amazing music out there in other parts of the world, and I'm certain that people would love it if they were properly exposed to it. And that doesn't seem to happen. The US is a tough market for really excellent music, I am sad to say. There are such talented musicians with real messages and real soul in their music, yet we seem to focus on the stuff that is, well, *lacking* in those areas. Sorry. It's just true. I hope to help change that!! And when I have more attention on my own music, the first thing I will do is try to introduce other music from artists outside of the US. Global, people. There is so much going on in the rest of the world. We are so isolated in the US. I love my country, and I love the people, and I wish more of us could experience other parts of the world...other cultures...there is so much out there...maybe I can help to bring it back for some of you, in the course of my travels. That would make me really happy. Now go check out Elisa, ok? :)
Ok - now back to India!
I can't wait to upload more photos and videos.
There is so much to show you...

The people here are amazing.
Last night was my second performance. Opus, in Bangalore.
Such kind, appreciative, loving audiences. And once again, the owners and people working at the club were lovely. I feel fortunate to have this experience and to be able to interact with everyone on a real, human level. I think that often times, when an artist is able to tour in other countries, he/she has already achieved a certain level of fame which makes this sort of interaction a lot less likely...if you get what I mean...and I feel really lucky to be able to do this at a time in my career when things are still growing and I can have a "normal person" type of experience. Get to spend some time with the cities and the people. I feel sorry for artists who are already so famous when they visit other countries, and need to be shielded from the real life interactions...ok...I guess I don't feel SO bad. I'm sure it's pretty awesome to experience the royal treatment of a superstar. But I hope to experience both sides in my lifetime, and I am thoroughly enjoying the experience I am currently having! :)
We met some ex-pats last night, and they invited us to a belated Thanksgiving dinner at their home in the center of Bangalore, tonight. I'm so excited. Turkey and pumpkin pie. YUM. I will take photos. Can't wait to see how they live...it fascinates me!! I love seeing peoples' lives and homes in other countries. Especially excited to see what it's like living here as an ex-pat. Maybe because I secretly (or not so secretly) daydream about it for myself!
So anyway - I need to get going. Time to venture out into the Rubik's cube of traffic that is Bangalore! It really is like a Rubik's cube...or one of those flat puzzles with one missing piece, and you have to move all the little pieces around in order to create the image...there are so many cars and motorbikes and bicycles and pedestrians...and everyone is constantly moving around each other...fitting into the little spaces created when one car/person/motorbike moves...it is an organized chaos - totally works because everyone is moving within the same system. The driving is notoriously harrowing, but it doesn't scare me at all because it all seems to make sense in this strange chaotic way. All the chaos moves together at the same rate and becomes some sort of order. Make sense?
Will try to capture in photos......
Lots of love to my friends around the world!
