Hello!!! I’m back in London, and it’s wonderful so far.
My dear friend Laura met me at Paddington Station yesterday, and we spent the day together. I’m staying at the home of some good friends, and they are taking excellent care of me! At the moment, I’m eating croissants from Carluccio’s, drinking a latte, feeling warm and cozy and safe from this crazy snow!
It’s so good to be back here, and I can’t believe it’s taken me this long to make it happen!!!!! Well, that will not happen again. I’ll be back and forth a lot this year, I think, playing shows and writing, and seeing people I love. That’s the plan. And moving to Nashville brings me a few hours closer to London! (good reason to move, right??)
So excited for tonight’s show. Anytime I get to play in a beautiful hall with a beautiful piano, I’m a very happy girl. Clearly, this will be one of those nights!
I’m really happy to find out that so many people have been capturing the shows in videos and sending them to me!! I will post as often as I can, will aim for one per day, but it all depends on internet connection, of course! Here’s one from Copparo, Italy:
I’m sure I’ll have a lot more to say very soon….now I’m off to the post office, to mail CDs to Cardiff! Yes, long story….nearly missed my Belfast show due to EasyJet’s luggage restrictions (would have cost £600 to bring my suitcase, so we sent it by courier to London, at the very last minute, just as my plane was about to leave!!), and I didn’t have enough CDs for the Cardiff show! So, I told people that they could pay in advance and I would ship CDs to them, from London, as soon as I was reunited with my suitcase! Lots of people actually took me up on it, so now it’s post office time! Seems I cannot escape the post office, whether in the US or the UK!!!!!!!
