This always happens.
I come to this country and I don’t want to leave.
Luckily there are exciting things waiting back in LA (and my friends and my family and my dog). Otherwise I might just stay.
It’s been amazing so far.
Here are some fun things to watch and read.
And a link to Google Translate, in case your Italian is a bit rusty….
A conversation with wonderful Italian journalist, Paolo Vites:

A conversation with the legendary Carmen Lasorella:
Great review of the Milan show by Fabrizio Corgnati:

And my report:
# of pizzas eaten: 1
# of gelatti eaten: 2
# of espressos: 5
# of Autogrills: 4 (The Autogrill is one of my favorite late-night-side-of-the-highway adventures)
# of marriage proposals by potential Italian husbands: 3
# of times I’ve said the words “I love this country”: ?? (in the hundreds, I think)
Biggest surprise so far: the explanation of Italian retirement/pension (I know – sounds so boring but it was so interesting and strange!! You should check it out. Very different from the U.S.)
Looking forward to other wonderful surprises this week!
