I’m so excited to announce my newest project!!!
I’ve teamed up with some incredibly smart, talented people in the Google+ community to create the 1st album recorded live in G+ hangouts!
Here’s what that means:
1. We will record everything through the Google+ Hangout app (Click here if you have no idea what I’m talking about)
2. I will be in my studio, my engineer (the awesomely talented Lucas Johnson) will be in his studio recording the audio remotely, and we will broadcast the live video from both of our studios simultaneously on Hangoutparty.com. (This will all make a lot more sense if you check out the video link in #1.)
4. You can hang out and watch the live video, chat with other “audience” members, and be part of the Hangout, if you have G+.
5. You guys will have the chance to vote on which takes we use.
6. We will post rough mixes the day after each session, so you can keep up with the progress we’re making.
7. Like remixing? We’ll post all the stems so you can have at it.
8. We will have special guests on the album, recording with us from their studios, wherever they happen to be, anywhere in the world.
We’re making this up as we go along, so we will carefully document every step of the journey and make sure to involve you guys in every way possible.
Today was session #1, and we started the guitar for my new song “Nothing to Hide.” In fact, that is the title of the project! (Cos we have nothing to hide! We’re doing everything in front of a live audience!)

Ps — I realize that this might not make a lot of sense to most people, since Google+ is still relatively new and we’re all figuring it out together. I’ll do my best to explain what’s happening, but the best way is to visit the website during a recording session and check it out for yourself! Session dates/times will be posted on my Google+ page!
